Refunds

Refunds are subject to limits of the requested services, timing, permit requirements, and conditions, some of which we can control and others that we cannot.

We are unable to fully refund payment for services if you change your mind after we have paid for permits, research, travel, or other nonrecoverable activity, except for circumstances due to our error.

If conditions beyond our control prevent us from fulfilling a scheduled scattering, such as (but not limited to) weather or local activity, we will inform you and offer alternate schedule(s) or location(s). If alternative options are not agreed upon, we will return materials received and refund payments for such requests, less any costs for research, permits, travel, or other unrecoverable expense. Alternate dates or locations may incur additional charges.

We are unable to fulfill requests that are unlawful or which require us to violate property owner rights or policies. If we determine that your request is not one that we can fulfill, we will inform you and offer alternate schedule(s) or location(s). If alternative options are not agreed upon, we will return materials received and refund payments for such requests, less any costs for research, permits, travel, or other unrecoverable expense.

We are unable to return cremains that have been scattered. Most scattering is an irretrievable venture, and it is highly unusual and unlikely that cremated ashes can be recovered after scattering.

We do not retain, store, or hold back any cremains placed in our care for scattering. We recommend that you retain a portion of the cremains if there is any possibility of a loved one wishing to have an ash pendant or other memorial item that requires a portion of the cremated remains. Once our scattering service is complete, we no longer have any portion of the cremains in our care.
